Green Velo in the capital of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains (14 km)
A bike trip along the Green Velo trail in Kielce is an excellent opportunity to discover the city's green heart and its most important landmarks. It leads along dedicated cycling paths, making it safe even for children. Family-friendly bike routes are a major asset of Kielce.
The Green Velo trail runs right by Binkowski Hotel – you can start your trip as soon as you step out! Attractions along the route include the Botanical Garden, the Karczówka monastery, the City Park, Kielce's historic center with the Palace of Krakow Bishops and the Cathedral, the Kadzielnia Reserve, and a pump track by the athletics stadium.

Where else can you go cycling with children? It's worth taking the bike path that starts at Hala Legionów, right next to Hotel Binkowski. It allows you to safely reach the most interesting places in the city. The path runs along the Hala Legionów – Kielce Zalew route.
Selected Cycling Routes in Kielce
The trail starts at the athletics stadium near Kadzielnia. The route runs through Baranowski Park, adjacent to Hotel Binkowski, and then past the old Jewish cemetery. Białogon is a historic industrial district from the 19th century. In the center of the former settlement stands a wooden church of the Transfiguration, similar to the churches of Zakopane. The trail continues to the village of Zagrody, from where you can head towards Chęciny or return to Kielce.
This route begins at the foot of Karczówka Mountain (339 m a.s.l.), which is well-known for its monastery and church, serving as an important landmark in the Kielce skyline. Karczówka dominates the area and is part of the Kadzielnia Range in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. The monastery, founded in the early 17th century, along with the adjoining Church of St. Charles Borromeo, is very popular among tourists.
This forest route in Kielce circles Pierścienica mountain, located near the Forest Stadium and a ski slope. The trail offers attractions such as the Pierścienica forest complex, the Municipal Stadium's recreational area, and the Biesak-Białogon reserve with its forest quarry, as well as numerous memorial sites.
The Blue cycling trail around Pierścienica mountain is an excellent and well-marked MTB route. It's a typical off-road, mountainous trail with numerous climbs and descents, and sections full of rocks and roots. It's dedicated to experienced mountain bikers.
An 800-meter long singletrack has been built on the slope of Pierścienica mountain, in a forested area near the ski slope. This forest bike path is perfect for extreme riding.
Where to Cycle in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains?
Family cycling route in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains – "Wild West" (18.1 km) The trail, marked in black, circles the Pierścienica mountain massif and includes attractions like the recreational areas of the Forest Stadium, the picturesque Pierścienica massif itself, and the Church of St. Isidore the Laborer in Posłowice. "Wild West" is one of thirteen family-friendly cycling routes designated in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains.
Red Cycling Trail Kielce – Sitkówka PKP (10.9 km) This trail, running through the suburbs of Kielce and the forests of Telegraf mountain, is an off-road route offering picturesque views of the southern part of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. Nearby attractions include the Wietrznia nature reserve, Kielce Geopark, the forested massif of Telegraf mountain, and the Church of St. Isidore in Posłowice.
Red Cycling Trail Kielce – Piekoszów (18.3 km) The trail begins at the foot of Karczówka mountain, near the road leading to the former Bernardine monastery. This route, passing through picturesque areas, offers attractions such as the Karczówka monastery, the sanctuary in Piekoszów, the Chelosiowa Jama quarries and reserve, the Moczydło inanimate nature reserve, and spectacular views of the Kadzielnia and Chęciny Ranges of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains.

This trail, laid out along the ridge and slopes of the highest peak within the city limits (406 m above sea level), is very technically challenging. The starting point is the parking lot at the lower station of the ski lift. The entire trail features a natural surface with numerous obstacles like exposed roots and stones, as well as ruts carved out by water.
This is a demanding mountain trail designed for intense MTB enthusiasts, especially downhill riding. While not a classic singletrack, it shares similar characteristics. It's 3.5 km long with an elevation difference of approximately 60 meters. The trail both starts and ends at the lower station of the Pierścienica ski lift.
This is a typical mountain and off-road trail, featuring numerous ascents and descents, as well as sections full of stones and roots, making it ideal for experienced mountain bikers. It's excellently marked. Trails of this kind, typical of mountains, are a rarity in Polish cities and are a cycling hallmark of Kielce.
